Sara Johnston
Lead Swim Coach
Sara Johnston was a competitive swimmer in high school and has always kept up with swimming for fitness. She coached at the Scotch Plains JCC for two seasons, 2000/1 - 2001/2 and took a hiatus when her fourth boy was born in '02. In 2008, Sara began teaching at the Scotch Plains Fanwood YMCA.

Currently she teaches Parent/Child, Perch and special needs swimming and is an Assistant Swim Coach for the FSPY Swim Team's 8/under swimmers.

Sara also keeps up with the adult swimming community as Editor/Designer of the NJ Masters newsletter The Fastlane and is a NJ Masters Swimming Board member. She is also a US Masters Swimming Certified Adult Learn-to-Swim instructor and USMS Levels 1/2 Certified Swim Coach.

Sara and her family are former members of Highland and three of her four boys swam for the Sharks!

Sara lives in Fanwood with her husband Charles, 3 of her boys (the oldest is on his own!), and two dogs.

Grace Lesce

Swim Coach
Grace is returning for her fifth year coaching at Highland, and loves coaching and swimming. She has been swimming for more than 10 years, first as a swimmer for the Highland Sharks, then for FSPY and the Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School, and now currently swims at Marymount University. She loves to coach for the Sharks and is excited for the coming season!

Hannah Crisafulli

Swim Coach 
Hannah returns as for a second year coaching at Highland. She started swimming at the age of five for the Highland Sharks. Ever since then, competing has been a huge part of her life. Today, she swims for the Fanwood Scotch Plains YMCA and Union Catholic High School. Some of Hannah's favorite events to swim are the 500 Freestyle and the 100 Backstroke. Hannah is looking forward to having an amazing season with the Highland Sharks and will be a senior in high school this fall.

Sean Hough
Swim Coach
Sean is returning for a second year of coaching at Highland. Sean joined the Sharks at the age of six, and has been swimming with them ever since. Additionally, Sean swims for the Jersey Gators and the SPF high school team. Some of his favorite events are the 100 Backstroke and the 200 Freestyle. Sean will be a senior in the fall, and is excited to have an amazing season with the Highland Sharks.
